The Bone Adventure Home

When the pooches are dropped off, they are raring to go! Whether six months or ten years old, there is a great deal of excitement when they see the driveway at The Bone Adventure. After the first visit, owners tell us that their dog literally pulls them up the driveway! So obviously the mornings are full of pouncing and playing, sniffing and running. The new kid on the block usually gets a bit more attention than the regulars.

Shadow gives Emmett a kiss for the camera as they enjoy some quality pool time!

There are balls to chase, ropes to tug, and people who monitor their activity at all times. There's even a "time out" section for the dog that woke up on the wrong side of the dog bed.

By mid-day, the dogs mellow out. Some continue to play while others sit back and watch. There are several dog houses where the more sedate may visit for a quick time out. We turn on the TV and many choose to snooze and watch the movie at the same time.

In the afternoon, there is renewed energy and, on sunny days, the pool gets filled up for those water lovers. The staff plays ball and provides TLC for those who just want to cuddle. Some of the dogs prefer to sit with the office staff, so they will relax on the leather couches.

By the end of the day, the dogs go home with their owners- tired and happy they got the exercise and the socialization they needed.

If a dog is lucky enough to get to spend the night, The Bone Adventure Hotel rooms are a private retreat for eating and getting a good night’s sleep. The rooms are approximately 30 square feet with glass doors, and they are appointed with comfortable Kuranda Beds and soft cushions. The dogs retire between 7:00 and 8:00 PM, and are up again at around 6:00 AM. There is 24 hour supervision, 7 days per week.

The dogs are provided food as per instructions provided by the owner.

The Bone Adventure
Dog of the Month:
George Orlando

George Orlando, our happy hound howler!! You are our LARGEST, goofiest, most entertaining, and longest Bassett hound at The Bone Adventure - the stretch Hummer limousine of the canine set!!

We love to see you stroll into the bone adventure in the morning greeting us with your howl, announcing to us that you are so ready to get your play time on!  Your most recent BFF is "Gdog" the German shepherd, who you roll and wrestle with for hours!! After playing you love to roll on your back giving yourself a back scratch/massage combo under the sun while howling in excitement!! Then the afternoon sleepies kick in and it's time for a nap...  But post nap you are ready to go for some fetch! Your low rider stature gives you an advantage in this game, (as long as we are talking ground balls), where you excel!! It may not be the traditional fetch and return, because once you get a ball you tend to keep running after other balls, not giving up "your" ball," but you have a great time doing it (and howling while the ball is in your mouth - how do you do that?!) Thank you for reminding us that it is OK to march to the beat of our own drum!! Come 5 pm you catch the bus home, and proudly announcing to the whole bus that we are in your neighborhood by howling the whole way to your house!! After a quick sloppy kiss goodbye assuring us that we will see you real soon you run inside for a nap in your chair!! Thank you so for helping us ring in this new year with a HOWL!!! We love you Georgey Orlando!!
