Every year, Unconditional Rescue hosts Unleashed, a spectacular fundraising gala that supports senior and special needs dogs in Orange County. But here’s the best part: this isn’t just a charity event for humans, your pup is invited too, and they’re going to have an absolute blast!
What Is Unconditional Rescue?
Unconditional Rescue is a Laguna Beach-based nonprofit dedicated to finding homes for senior and special needs dogs. These are the overlooked pups who might be considered “past their prime” or have health challenges that make it harder for them to be adopted. Unconditional gives them a second chance at happiness with a mission to redefine these deserving dogs from “sad and unfortunate” to “happy and forever.” Their annual Unleashed event brings together the community to celebrate these amazing dogs while raising funds to support their rescue efforts.
What to Expect at Unleashed
Unleashed is held at a stunning venue (Montage Laguna Beach), typically featuring gourmet food, exceptional wine, ocean views, and a night of celebration. But what makes it truly special for dog owners is that your pup gets to experience it too. Last year, The Bone Adventure set up a dedicated area where your dog could socialize, play, and enjoy supervised care while you mingled and enjoyed the evening. The Bone Adventure creates a fenced dog park area at Unleashed where your pup can socialize with other well-behaved dogs under the supervision of our trained dog handlers. If your dog isn’t comfortable with the gala itself, this is the perfect solution. Your dog gets to make new friends, burn off some energy, and experience something beyond their normal routine, all while being cared for by professionals who understand dog behavior and safety. It’s structured playtime without the stress of navigating a crowded event.
Grooming Demonstrations and Education
Beyond the dog park, grooming professionals from The Bone Adventure demonstrate techniques and best practices for keeping your pup healthy and comfortable. Whether it’s shedding management, nail care, or breed-specific grooming tips, you’ll learn practical skills you can use at home. Groomers are on hand to answer your questions, discuss your dog’s specific needs, and share advice on maintaining that fresh-from-the-groomer look between professional appointments.
