What Are Summer Swim Nights?
Summer Swim Nights are seasonal evening swim events held at The Bone Adventure Backyard in Costa Mesa, giving your dog exclusive access to our incredible Swim Club pool after hours. Think beach-style pool entrance, a sunbathing island, water fountains, and all the pool toys they could want, all to themselves (and their new best friends). It’s the ultimate summer evening for your pup, and honestly, pretty fun for clients too!
How Swimming Benefits Your Dog
Swimming is one of the best forms of exercise a dog can get. It’s low-impact, full-body, and mentally stimulating, perfect for high-energy dogs who need an outlet, or older dogs who need gentle movement without the strain of running. Beyond the physical benefits, swim time builds confidence in the water, improves coordination, and provides the kind of deep, satisfying enrichment that leaves your pup genuinely tired by bedtime. If your dog has been anxious around water, a relaxed, social swim session in a safe and supervised environment is one of the best ways to build that confidence gradually and positively.
The Social Benefits for Dogs and Their People
Dogs are social creatures, and Summer Swim Nights give them the chance to play, splash, and bond with other dogs in a relaxed, low-pressure setting. Evening events bring out a fun, laid-back energy. The heat of the day has passed, the vibe is easy, and dogs tend to thrive in that environment. For pet owners, it’s just as rewarding. Summer Swim Nights create a natural gathering space for dog lovers in the Costa Mesa community: a place to connect, swap stories, and bond over the shared joy of watching your pup absolutely lose their mind in the best possible way. Whether you’re a regular at The Bone Adventure or just recently starting out with us, the social atmosphere makes it easy to meet like-minded people who love their pets just as much as you do. It’s not just an event; it’s a community experience for the whole pack!

What It Costs, Requirements, & What to Know
The cost of each Summer Swim Night class is $45. This includes up to two hours of supervised swim time, socialization, and enrichment in a facility that was purpose-built for dogs, complete with a beach-style entrance, dock diving platform (when safe to use, determined by staff), and staff on hand to ensure every pup has a safe and happy time.
To keep every dog protected and make the experience enjoyable for all, Summer Swim Nights do have a few requirements. All dogs must be current on vaccinations and owners must be present during the entirety of their pup’s swim time. Dogs should be comfortable around other dogs, as this is a social, group swim environment. We also require that an Intro to Swim Class be completed prior to participating in any Night Swims.
Required Vaccines:
- Rabies (1 or 3 year vaccine)
- DHLPP (1 or 3 year vaccine)
- Bordetella (every 6 months)
- Annual Fecal Test (Ova and Parasite Test + Giardia ELISA Test)
- You can bring a fresh stool sample to your vet to be tested, or you can bring it into The Bone Adventure. We can send the sample out to a lab we partner with (Canine Lab Testing). Results typically come back within 24-48 hours.
